Key Responsibilities Export Business Development Manager Africa
Location- India, based at Ludhiana with frequent Travel to Africa
The candidate will be responsible for developing new markets, appointing distributors, building brands, and generating sales across Africa.
Responsibilities
• Develop distributors and importers across West and Central Africa
• Identify new business opportunities and grow sales in existing markets
• Travel extensively across African countries for market development
• Build brand presence through roadshows, promotions, trade marketing, and digital marketing
• Develop marketing strategies for each market
• Manage distributor relationships and negotiate commercial terms
• Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights
Candidate Profile
Experience
• Minimum 8–10 years experience in Africa markets
• Must have worked in or traveled extensively across Africa
• Experience in Food / FMCG industry preferred
Education
• Graduate (mandatory)
• MBA preferred (Marketing / International Business)
Age
• Preferred 35–40 years
Skills
• Strong distributor development experience
• Knowledge of African trade channels
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building ability
• Ability to work independently and develop markets from scratch
Additional Advantage
• French language knowledge
• Existing network of African distributors/importers
Compensation
• Fixed salary: ₹8–12 Lakhs per annum
